Fines and Happy Fines: On January 22nd, our friend Brian whose brother passed this past week was absent from lunch, we extend our deepest sympathies to Brian and his entire family. So in his absence yours truly stepped up and took over Sgt. duties. What! Like it's hard? Boy was this fun, as I collected pin fines, caught Connie and Rich G. walking in late. Deb was hit with a picture fine as was our newest upcoming member, Paul, who had the guts to have his picture taken in a Lions vest as he's trying to become a Rotarian. We'll get you even if you're not inducted yet. Fined Deanna for sitting next to Dina. Names sounded the same. 2 Bob's (Harris/Mertz) sitting at the same table. Caught Art and Gary H. for having two mechanics at the same table and 3 executive directors at the same table (Deb/Yvonne/Paul) Paul couldn't catch a break today, but the pool is on time and under budget. Happy fines were in abundance. Bob C. was happy that his granddaughter made the Honor Society. Steve announced that today was Dianna's birthday. Deb had a sad happy fine as she is leaving the Y and becoming President of the Illinois YMCA Youth Gov't Program. She has given her notice to club also. We wish her the best. Although Yvonne will be happy she won't have to pay all those director fines. Gary B. will be in California for two weeks surfin', golfin' and catching some righteous rays. On January 29th Brian was back and wasted no time in gathering pin fines from Rich G., Kathy, Bob W. and Dan W. Coonie was late. Dan W. paid a photo fine. Dick and Deanna paid a fine for two York Townshippers sitting together. Brian passed the birthday basket around for him and Jack as it was their birthdays. Rich G. paid a haircut happy fine as John N. wasn't around. And finally the free lunches ended for Andre as he was inducted into club. We welcome you Andre. On February 5th, the finemaster caught Chief Ed and Deanna without their pins, caught Doc, Steve and Connie walking in late. Deb and Yvonne fined for the 2 exec's at one table. Picture fines were paid by Chief Ed, Bob C., Dennis, Dan W., Tom P., Deb and Art. Happy fines. Dennis is FINALLY going to be a grandpa, way to go Dennis! Josh was happy that the GEHS cheerleaders are going to state. Bob M. made some statement about the 55 mile per hour speed limit. Steve said that he was happy he made it to Larry's funeral and that he will be missed by club. Dan (me) was happy to see Mary Jo at lunch. Gary S. was complaining that he paid $3.00 for a scooter and wasn't told that we had no speaker and he wanted his money back. Thanks for the donation Gary. On February 12th, our illustrious master of the fine, Brian was at it again as he fined Bill L., Dennis, Gary B. and Tom for not having their pins, caught Connie and Doc walking in late and for the last time anywhere… Deb and Yvonne for the two Exec's at one table. The picturesque twins also paid fines for photos in the paper. Tom was happy that he made it to 35 years married to the same woman, Ray was happy that the Valentines dinner worked out well, despite some confusion on the time. Yvonne was happy that her son Brandon, will be in Barcelona working on his PAID Ph.d. Steve was happy that his daughter came in first in her solo group and son Chad made it to nationals. Ray was happy that he remembered how many years he was married, but paid the finemaster anyway. Dennis wished Deb would someday come back to club after being here for 11 years.

Announcements: On January 22nd, President Jean announced that the Valentines dinner sign up sheet was going around, and she read a very nice thank you letter from the family we helped at Christmas. A single mother of four with four other children she is taking care of, plus her mother. She wanted us to give the nice man who brought the gifts over a big hug, so Jean did the honors. Gary also mentioned that he gave $150.00 to another family this week. February 5th, President Jean asked everyone to sign the get well card that was going around the room for Bill Wingstedt.
