Welcome To Our Speakers: On August 28th, our speaker was Pat Titus who gave an interesting talk about her pigs. She and her husband raise them. On September 4th, our speaker was our very own, Marge. She was our Blue Ribbon panel speaker and talked about good will and better friendships. On September 11th, our speaker was Tania Parciany from Dist.44. On September 18th, our speaker was Darlene Ruscitti.

Honored Guests: On August 28th, our guests were Past District Governor, Mike Erickson, Gary Anderson from the Schaumburg club and future inductee, Dan Whittington. On September 4th, we had no guests as Josh and Dan were inducted and had their last free lunch on club. On September 11th, we were honored to be visited by our Dist. Gov. Elect, Bill Ferreira. On September 18th, our guests were Tracy Bushka, Joanne Richardson and Rose Palma.

Fines and Happy Fines: On August 28th, our newest MTM was on the ball as he caught Connie walking in late. Hit Dennis and Pat for no pin. "In the think they would learn category", Deb and Yvonne were fined for the two execs at one table. Charlie was hit for the thermostat fine, Ray for having his photo in the paper and Bob H. for the faux pas fine of not introducing the Past DG first. On the Happy fine trail, Greg mentioned that the fine master forgot to fine the two bankers at one table. Ooops. Bob M's son got back from his 5000? Mile trip to Idaho. He took the long way. Brian's granddaughter is off to college. During the raffle, Bob H. was fined for not having the deck of cards at the ready. He's still learning. On September 4th, fine master Brian picked the pockets of Kathy, and Bill L. for no pins and having your badge on the floor.Gary S. was late. Deb paid up for her photo in the paper. In the "Can't keep'em apart category" Deb and Yvonne are the gold medalists again. Brian thought he was being creative with the two ex fine masters at one table , but paid up when I reminded him that since I also held the title that he should pay up for his oversight. As for happy fines, Kathy was happy that she will be having back surgery soon and will be thrilled when the pain goes away. Marge was happy to be celebrating her 43rd wedding anniversary, happy that we have two new members and her trip out west where she saw the desert, mountains and ocean. Art was happy to see Doc's daughter on tv at the RNC, Gary S. had two grandsons born this past month, Bob C's grandson is off to Stanford, Tom P. played in the Windy City Golf Classic for his friend who has Muliple Myloma and is in remission. Rick was happy to catch Brian in missing the two Bob's (Harris and Whitacre) at one table. Brian was having a tough day. And finally, Dennis, he buys a rain water barrel from Dick and has an elbow/downspout made from Bob C. and then waits SIX weeks for it to rain. At least he won the raffle a few weeks back. Denny also was happy be married 34 blissful years. We had a b'day sing-a-long for Mike as he passed the basket. On September 11th, the Sgt.@arms was making the rounds and hit Pat for a pin fine and also a phone fine, saw Jim I., Connie, JBB, Doc and Chief Ed strolling in late. Unfortunately, Ed came in late, after Connie , so, he paid an extra fine. Also, since he had three photos in the paper with Dan Tani he had a healthy hit in the wallet this week. Of course we had the two bankers and the two Bob's (there's a joke there ) fine. There was a happy fine from Greg who is a new grandpa, so we welcome Bradley Lucas to the world. CONGRATS! Marge was happy about a joke from Bob M., if you want to hear it, ask him. On September 18th, his royal fineness was really on a roll as he collected pin fines from Rich G.,Greg, Pat, Deanna and Kathy. Tardy fines were levied against Bob C., Jim B., and Connie. Brian did miss the two exec's at the same table, and I'm sure he'll fine himself at a later date. On the happy fine front, Marge gave a very detailed description of three teens doing their Joey Chitwood impression in her neighborhood. The teens all survived the wreck. What happened when their parents got a hold of them, is a different story. Our newest member Josh is happy to be a Rotarian and is thankful to club for the donation for the Literacy Program at GE. Dennis is happy that Kathy V. will be feeling better after her back surgery and his wife Karin will be having hip surgery . He is happy that we live in country where good medical care is available. Rich G. was happy that he got his son to the airport during the monsoon.
